Shortly after Magnum celebrated his first birthday, he was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow failure disorder. In the time between the day of his diagnosis and the year that followed, young Magnum underwent 18 blood transfusions, a pre-bone marrow transplant and 21 platelet transfusions. Through his most difficult days, Magnum found joy in firetrucks – or what he likes to call “woo-woo’s”! Magnum loves everything about the fire department, so it was only fitting that his heartfelt wish is to be a Firefighter! Magnum is “a sweet, kind, loving, rough and tumble little joy. His smile is contagious!” stated Magnum’s mom. Magnum is one courageous three-year-old who cannot wait to be immersed within the excitement of his favorite fire engines, and fire-fighting heroes. The day his heartfelt wish becomes reality, will be a day Magnum will be filled with hope, strength and joy.
